The Executive Committee is continuing to help the Members of A.R.M to stay in touch with new Techniques, skills and refresh our knowledge to obtain the 20 points (or hours) needed to be eligible for provider status with the Health Funds.
Massage Therapy Review
The MTR has been introduced for our Country Members and is a great success, for members who have difficulty in getting to a Workshop because of distance so they can obtain CPE points. This is not a test but a way of continuing our education, technique, skills and gaining CPE points while massage each other.
A qualified Massage Therapist, preferably A.R.M Member, must complete this form.
After the Massage (minimum 1 hour) the receiver will be asked for their honest assessment of their colleague’s Techniques and Skills.
The receiver of the Massage will then complete the review form provided by A.R.M.
Download form here or call A.R.M National Head Office.
After the Massage and the form are completed, the receiver must discuss with the giver how the form has been filled out.
After the Massage and Discussion, the giver's name is put on the bottom of the MTR form and signs the receiver’s CPE log. The receiver will submit a copy with their CPE log to the A.R.M. National Head Office on or before March 31st.
You (the receiver) will need to keep the original so if you are audited it can be produced.
Who are Country Members?
Country members are those who live outside a radius of 80 km from where the Workshop is to be held, e.g.
The Workshop/Meeting is being held in Gladesville (NSW) then the Members who are outside an 80 km radius of Gladesville are country members, travel to the Workshop, you have the opportunity to gain an extra 2 points reward for travel.
Members who live in regional and remote areas (country members) will benefit by going to an authorised A.R.M Workshop.
Newsletter Review
A question will be asked about an article in each Newsletter.
So this means it will be necessary to read the Newsletter, as the answer to the question could be anywhere.
There is provision at the end of the CPE log to put down the answers. Correct answer 1 point (4 points per year).
Remember it's the Health Funds that need You to show Continuing Professional Education to be eligible for provider status.
